What peace do we offer trees
When we walk among them?
~ Excerpt from ‘A Song for Trees,’ Pink Moon (ECW Press, 2023),
adapted for ‘Chaos & Wonder’
'Chaos and Wonder' evokes the power of language, movement, and our connection to the natural world. Blending spoken word and an original soundtrack by Roshan James with contemporary choreography and dance by Tara Butler, Roshan and Tara shift our perspective about the interconnected relationship we have with trees and nature.

We are grateful to the @ontarioartscouncil, the provincial government, along with recommenders @patthedogpdc and @themtspace, for the two OAC Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators that provided necessary funding for us to develop this work, which is now in a pilot phase. Public funding is critically necessary for sustaining a vibrant and continuously growing arts sector in this region and as connective tissue into neighbouring areas. We are all connected. There is no culture without the arts.
